Wailuku First Fridays | Market Street | 6:00 to 9:00pm.

Tip: Plan to stop at Kaahumanu Church and Hale Hoikeike – Bailey House Museum before the party starts.

Wailuku is Maui’s county seat and continues to maintain a sense of aura with its historical history. The architectural influences of the missionaries who settled here in the 1800’s, continue to give the impression of a New England town.

Lahaina Second Fridays | Front Street | 6:00 to 9:00pm.

When Kamahameha I consolidated the Hawaiian kingdom, he chose Lahaina as the seat of power. It remained so until the 1840’s when Kamahameha III moved to Honolulu. With its whaling history in the early 1800’s the town flourished. This is also where the missionaries first landed in 1823 at the request of Queen Keopuolani. They built the first school and printing press west of the Rockies at Lahainaluna.

Makawao Third Fridays | Baldwin Avenue | 6:00 to 9:00pm.

Tip: See our guide to Upcountry Maui and Haleakala Crater.

Makawao was settled by Portuguese immigrants in the 1800’s who started raising cattle here. The sleepy town went through a revival in the 1970’s that continues to this day. On the main street you can buy a sack of feed, shop in art galleries, buy designer jeans and eat at many dining establishments.

Kihei Fourth Fridays | Azeka Shopping Center | 6:00 to 9:00pm.

Tip: See our list of things to do in Kihei and Wailea.

With some of the best Maui weather and gorgeous beaches including Kamaole, many islanders make Kihei their home.

Lanai Fifth Fridays | Lanai City Dole Park | 5:30 to 8:00pm.

Tip: Purchase a Lanai ferry ticket/transportation package from $60 for this town party.

Lanai City was built in the 1920’s by Dole Pineapple Co. The town sits at 1,600 feet in the shadow of Lanaihale, the island’s tallest mountain. It’s cool and breezy and a great place to shop.
