The Maui Film Festival has made a name for itself with a concentration on life-affirming films, screened at the Celestial Cinema in Wailea and the Castle Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.  The annual film extravaganza is filled with outstanding cinema.  The Film Festival features a wide array of special events in Wailea, including celebrity tributes, filmmaker panels and culinary feasts at various venues in Wailea.

The Four Season's Taste of Chocolate is always a hit as well as The Taste of Wailea where the Island's top chefs serve their signature dishes from al fresco booths at twilight on the hill above the Celestial Cinema.

MAPA Spring Extravaganza / Maui Arts & Cultural Center Castle Theater
May 3, 2014 - 3:00pm - May 4, 2014 - 3:00pm

Maui Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) presents three spectacular dance shows for the entire family.  The weekend opens with the annual dance recital on Saturday afternoon featuring dancers of all ages performing jazz, tap, Glee Club, Broadway Dance and hip hop. Sunday afternoon features over 200 MAPA ballerinas in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "The Wizard of Oz."  The "MOVES" dance concert features MAPA's top dancers in an evening of original choreography including a guest appearance by Maui's new professional dance company "ampersand."
